For years I've had these plain wooden eggs - a craft project that never came to be, and after my Egghead Lolly was so well received I had been contemplating making a permanent one.
I needed a project to work on today and well in honor of his birthday I decided to go ahead a create the wooden lolly egg. I made some changes from the original design. This lolly has clown pants and shoes, and his hair is painted on instead of made of cotton swab ends. He is also carrying two books. The subject matter of which is thanks to $Moonbeam13 as she shared he loves Paris and Pop Art. So the books actually have paper covers created by me. "Paris Hilton: Her life in Pictures" and "Clowns in PopArt: a Tribute to Lolly"
As soon as I put the finishing touches on him (clear poly gloss finish, of which I am currently out) he'll make his way west via parcel post to hang out with the clown man of which his likeness has been made.
